About Cambridge RAG

So what is RAG?

RAG stands for ‘raise and give’. We are a group of students who put on both large and small events university wide and within colleges to raise money for our charities. We also carry out street collections called raids every Saturday, with megaraids (in conjunction with other universities) and collection tours after Michaelmas and Lent term.

Why should I do RAG?
- It’s fun
- Get the chance to help run uni wide events
- And best of all raise lots of money for charity! Our target for this year is £250,000

How do I get involved?
There are three levels of RAG to get involved in:

- Go raiding- (street collection). Occurs every Saturday in Cambridge with some outside of Cambridge. Do as much as you like even 15 minutes helps.

- College Level- Represent your college, by selling tickets for university wide events and put on college wide events.

- Central Committee- Put on Cambridge wide events for both Gown and Town. Anyone can get involved with this and it is not as daunting as it seems.

For more information on any of our activities and to get involved e-mail rag@cusu.cam.ac.uk

Any member of Cambridge University can take part in any of our events. As one of the largest Rags in the country and one of Cambridge’s largest societies, you can choose to join in with RAG at college level or take part in one of Rag’s organised activities. In whatever way you support us you are helping to make RAG a success.
